In Memoriam

Robert Carovillano

Robert Carovillano was born on December 3, 1946 to James and Patricia Carovillano. He had one brother, James. His home of record is Rutherford, NJ. He graduated from Rutherford High School where he played football and baseball. He attended Montclair State University where he played college football. 

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Second Lieutenant (2LT). Carovillano went to Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, OK, where he spent twenty-three weeks learning to command a field artillery unit. He was assigned to Battery B, 3rd Battalion, 34th Artillery, 9th Infantry Division. 

Carovillano was killed in action in the Mekong Delta on March 25, 1967. He is buried in Mahwah, NJ. Carovillano was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Carovillano

Bobby we had such great times going to major league tryouts together.  You were one of the most competitive people I have ever met and one of the easiest to get along with and to like.  RIP my brother, till we meet again!!
