David (Dave) H. Heller, 70, suddenly passed away at home Feb. 22, 2017. David was born April 10, 1946, in New Jersey. 

David was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Heller, and his father, Raymond Heller. 

David is lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Rick; wife Judith, and children, Rebecca and EmilySusan of Livingston, NJ; and Bill, wife, Kirsten and children, Abby, Logan and Ryan of Wayne, NJ. 

He graduated from Rutherford High School in 1964 and went on to Newark College of Engineering (now NJ Institute of Technology). He left school to join the U.S. Army for four years. The Army sent him to the foreign language school in Monterey before deploying him with the NATO troops in West Germany. He loved the Monterey area and after his discharge from the Army, he ultimately returned to the Monterey Peninsula. He worked as a computer engineer and ultimately retired from an IT position with the County of Monterey. 

David enjoyed living near the ocean and loved to go sailing, scuba diving, hiking, camping and also enjoyed eating the local seafood.
