Oh Carol, I have often wondered how my life would have been different had you said YES.  Simple question, simple answer, that we had talked about for years while "going steady" through high school.  Your answer was always yes till it was asked for real.  "It wasn't the right time", but I thought I was ready (I was not)....it hurt so much, we fell apart, too immature to stick it out.

So many memories...hours on the phone, sitting on your back stairs, the "bump" on your mose, buying your father's car, making out in our special "spot" (Bugbee's driveway), Bertrum's Island, down the shore, doubling with Hank and Donna, missing the Xmas dance because you had mono, missing the Junior prom because you were in a body cast for scoliosis, my queen of the senior prom, the Rivoli, Route 3 drive-in, the cemetry in Wayne, my letter sweater, my class ring, working on your sister's house on Lake Hopatcong (I am still friends with Gerrie), family dinners, holiday's, church, the parties, the games....oh how I LOVED you!!

I am so glad to see you excelled at life and so sad that you passed so young.  It took me 50 years to finally become an adult.  And I still wonder how life would have been!!
