Gail J. Nixon suddenly passed away on June 27, 2009, after a wonderful morning running her Siberian Huskies with her close friends. Born in Passaic, N.J., Gail grew up in Rutherford, N.J. where she graduated from Rutherford High School in 1964. 

A fellow classmate recalled to me that Gail was married to Robert Oakley, they had two children, a boy and a girl, they lived in Virginia. Upon her divorce Gail moved to Oregon to be close to her sister Milred (Millie) and to raise the dogs she so loved. Gail suffered a fatal heart attack while caring for her beloved Huskies.
