Loretta Phipps Brighton passed away on May 19, 1985 at home surrounded by family and friends. Her parents were John W. Phipps (1909 - 2001) and Margaret P. Cowan Phipps (1917 - 1984). 

I am friends with Loretta's sister Alice. Alice told me that Loretta married Al Brighton and had a daughter but they divorced. She moved back to Rutherford where she lived till 1981 then she moved up to Saratoga, NY by Alice. Her daughter is a teacher in Texas. She never remarried. She was diagnosed at 37 but was ill way before that with breast cancer did chemo but died at 40. She is buried in the family plot at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cooks, PA."
