Alice "Micki" (White) Williams 

Of Acton on May 16, 2005, at age 58. She leaves her beloved husband Theodore Williams, her son, Michael, and daughter, Elizabeth; her mother, Alice; her sister, Dorothy. Funeral service at First Parish Church in Concord, 20 Lexington Rd. Concord Center. Friday, May 20, at 11:00 AM. Contributions in her memory to OCEAN at Mass General, c/o Development Office, Charles River Plaza, Boston, MA 02114, or to the Alice Williams Discovery Museum 2 School Program, 177 Main St, Acton, MA 01720. 

I am in contact with Alice's daughter Elizabeth and she tells me her Mom graduated from Boston University with a teaching degree and taught until she became pregnant with Elizabeth. The school board released her because they did not think students should see a pregnant teacher. Alice sued the school board for descrimination, first "discremenation" lawsuit in Massachusetts, and WON!! She was VERY into politics and was an avid Democrat. Her sister Dorothy (RHS '62) lives in NH and they remained close through the years, until Alice's death from cancer. 

Her daughter wrote me this when she sent me the more recent photo: BTW -- Mom went by the name "Micki" starting in college. She hated the nicknames for Alice ... she says her sorority sisters helped her pick the name, and swears no drug use was involved during the deliberations, lol.
