In Memoriam
Raleigh, North Carolina - Jim McLaughlin, 76, died on November 5, 2022 of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, an incurable lung disease of unknown origin. While IPF stole his breath it never daunted his spirit. Until the end he remained an irreverent, humorous, loving husband and friend who was passionate about making a difference, especially in transportation for the disadvantaged. He was predeceased by his mother Evelyn and father, Joseph McLaughlin of Rutherford, NJ. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 34 years, Pat and his two lap cats, Tabby and Ty. Jim and I played soccer together and owned VWs. After we graduated I ran into him on Park Ave and its was like a minute since we started out on our new lives. Easy going with a good sence of humor, I hope his life was filled good times and people who loved him.Greg Ehrhardt

Really sad news about Jim McLaughlin and Bill Lanzer. Two good guys .Certainly gives one pause...
Jim and I began school in Kindergarten and he lived around the corner from me. Always appreciated his quiet sense of humor.
