Everyone -
With regard to the limited responses below to my request for suggestions for a get together, the dilemma is clearly shown. Each person wants something different. That is hard to put together in a single package. Paisano's is lovely, but they are not open late. I no longer can recall where we went in Nutley. I cannot go to a lunch meeting during football season (sorry, but immaturity does not fade in men), put that should not prevent others from scheduling a lunch. My guess is that people will not travel for lunch, so that we are dealing with mostly those who are nearby, which may be OK. I just want to have as many people as we can, while we still know who we are.
Can we do something reasonably soon? Or is the proximity to Thanksgiving and then Christmas too disabling for something now? If we schedule in the winter, are we too subject to the vagaries of weather? What do you prefer
I have recommended the Glen Rock Inn, (concededly where I live) because they have food, liquor and remain open late. Any other place that meets those criteria are also acceptable. Please let me have your suggestions.
I propose to schedule an evening dinner and a lunch, but several months apart. We can then alternate going forward depending on attendance, so that we can accommodate classmates' preferences in order to maximize attendance and our interactions.
Please let me hear from lots of you.
Fun fact - The State University's womens' field hockey team just won the Big Ten Championship. Women's soccer won the regular league championship and finished 2nd in the Big10 tournament. Congratulations Ladies! Go RU!
